Our story

We met at a house party while we were both at St. Joes. We spent most of the year texting and talking on the phone but ultimately decided not to get too serious, Brendan wanted to focus on passing his CPA exams and Phoebe had huge plans of joining the peace corp and moving to Africa. Predictably, only one of those things actually worked out.

We reconnected again a few years later in NYC and have spent the last few years traveling, eating pizza, riding bikes, listening to jazz at the Carlyle Hotel and taking care of our puppy Ollie.

Our Engagement

We got engaged in August 2018, on the same day that we moved out of our tiny studio apartment on the Upper East Side and into our current apartment in Chelsea. Brendan suggested we celebrate by going to a nice dinner in our new neighborhood. We took a walk along the Hudson River and set up a picnic with our traditional meal of pizza and rosé. Brendan finally asked the question and Phoebe pretended to be surprised. We celebrated with our families in LBI the next day with fireworks.
